ORLEANS PARISH SCHOOL BOARD INVITES COMMUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN TOWN HALL FORUMS

Superintendent To Discuss Citywide Survey; Vision For Unified School District

The Orleans Parish School Board (OPSB) is hosting four town hall forums as part of an ongoing commitment to significant public engagement. The OPSB will share findings from March’s Citywide Survey, discuss plans for the current and upcoming school year, and invite public comment. The town hall forums are part of the OPSB’s public engagement efforts as the state’s Recovery School District (RSD) steps back and OPSB begins oversight of all New Orleans public schools for the first time since Hurricane Katrina. The public is encouraged to attend the town hall forums and share their thoughts and insights.

The survey closed on May 5, 2017 and was open to every New Orleans residents ages 18 and up. The OPSB had an amazing response from the community with over 3,000 responses and looks forward to sharing findings with the community.
