ORLEANS PARISH SCHOOL BOARD TO RESUME SUMMER PROGRAMS ON THURSDAY, JUNE 22nd

The Orleans Parish School Board (OPSB) has announced classrooms and summer activities at the following OPSB direct run locations will resume their normal schedules on Thursday, June 22:
- McDonogh 35 High School
- Mahalia Jackson Elementary School
- Bethune Elementary School
- The Alternative Learning Center
- Travis Hill School at the Youth Study Center
Additionally, students scheduled to take EOC examinations at McDonogh 35 on Thursday, June 22 should report to the school as scheduled.
OPSB continues to carefully monitor the development and progress of Tropical Storm Cindy as it leaves the area. As a precaution, OPSB staff will remain on alert and ready to respond as necessary to ensure the safety of our students, faculty, staff and facilities, should the need arise.
OPSB currently oversees 32 schools, including 25 charter schools, six network schools and one educational program for students in secure care facilities.
